Whether you are an adopter searching for your blood ancestors or you have encountered an orphan situation in your family tree, you will need special tools to further your research. According to Roots Web, “this research can be complicated by such factors as whether this event took place recently or several generations back, whether there was a legal, black-market, or an informal adoption, whether an ancestor was reared by foster parents, and if the foster parents were related or unrelated to the birth parents.

Whether medical, genetic, genealogical or personal, the need to know one’s family history can be especially strong for adoptee. However, sometimes you must hurdle formidable barriers of sealed records, falsified birth certificates and uncooperative relatives in order to compile an accurate family tree. If you are an adoptee, in most instances you need to be at least 18 years of age in order to conduct a search to find living birth relatives and obtain access to certain records.”

After the publication of my genealogy book for children, on occasion I have heard adoptive parents say in one way or another, “Your book is a great idea, but I can’t use it…my child is adopted.” Actually, the book is an excellent guide and learning tool for young people, adopted or not! If you are the parent of an adopted child who shows an interest in genealogy, use it as an opportunity to expand your child’s world, with you as the conductor. Rather than waiting until your child is of “legal age” to know the facts about their lineage, I encourage adoptive parents to share in the search with their child. Be supportive and helpful…they will surely remember your selflessness forever!

Once, I heard an adoptive parent say that they will not encourage their adopted child to research their bloodlines. “The birth mother lived a horrible life and I don’t want to burden my child with that knowledge”. Hmmm…many folks are “burdened” with the knowledge that perhaps one parent may not have been a perfect role model. We tend to forget that the ancestry of adoptee did not begin with the blood parents or grandparents. Genealogy is a wonderful opportunity to bulldoze past one or two hurtful generations to discover ancestors your child can boast about! Perhaps your adopted child has blood roots that lead to the Mayflower, or to a war hero, or perhaps even to a foreign king! Adopted or not, we all have ancestors who make us weep…AND ancestors that make us extremely proud!

Adoptee and their parents should also consider taking the path of Donna Holcomb arose, who researches both her blood family AND her adoptive family lines! This is an excellent way for adoptee to understand “where they come from”, as well as strengthen family bonds with their adoptive family! Whatever your reasons are for needing help with adoption research, I hope you will find the following information helpful and informative.

Once let the black man get upon his person the brass letters, U.S., let him get an eagle on his button, and a musket on his shoulder and bullets in his pockets, and there is no power on earth which can deny that he has earned the right to citizenship in the United States.”

I am often asked about the difficulty of researching African American family history. Many seem to believe, mistakenly I might add, that it is next to impossible to trace African American ancestry prior to the mid-1800’s. The best response I have seen to this thought was made by Alva Griffith on the AfriGeneas Mail List:

“It is not a lost cause!!!… The first and foremost thing to keep in mind is that Slaves Were Money !!! And people ALWAYS keep track of their money !!! If your people were slaves, they will be found, I said WILL BE FOUND, in the slave owner’s family records, treated as PROPERTY, so you will need to look at their family’s deeds, wills, mortgages, wedding gifts, court records about property, etc.

And, yes, they often even have lists of slave births at the back of their Bibles! The biggest initial problem will probably be determining just who the owner was, and there are methods for doing that… it just takes time, research and
patience, sometimes with a little luck thrown in for good measure… after that, your people will be there, in their owner’s records. If your people were not slaves, they will be found in the normal records in the normal places… a fair number of us were not slaves… perhaps your people were free and moved to a new location, and that is why you have not found them where you expected them to be living.

Also MANY slaves had more than one name, and had different last names from their owners… even BEFORE the end of slavery! A fair amount of them had 3-word-names as well: my husband’s grandfather was Frank Thomas LOGAN- born in 1859, and he was a slave until he was 7 years old, just as his mother, Mary Louisa LOGAN, had been all her life; my own grandfather was born just after slavery in 1867, and his name was Aaron Mitchell RHODES.

There are a number of resource books that you can get to read about how to do this, the best (and latest) I know of being: Finding A Place Called Home, by Dee Parmer Woodtor, publ[ished] by Random House. Much help is also available HERE at Afrigeneas, where you can share the combined knowledge of numerous researchers by email. I note that you are also at AOL, where we have 3 chat rooms devoted to African American genealogy discussion live, and a Resource Area for your use.

Please don’t hesitate to take advantage of the many kinds of assistance available to help you find your people.” reprinted with the permission of Alva Griffith .

In September 25, 2008 she Western media in particular light on the so-called Somali pirates who seized a Ukrainian ship loaded with arms and demanding ransom in return for the release of the ship and its crew, Confusion surrounds the identity of the kidnappers real strong point of the ship reports indicated that they were heading to southern Sudan and Kenya, the real point of the cover. And non-interference of the Western military force existing In the Red Sea from the U.S. warships, Russian and French to end the abduction of the ship by military
force, although the Security Council authorization to use military force more than vague.

Despite the passage of more than two weeks, however, is still the media highlights The so-called Somali pirates only in the Red Sea and the pirates demanded ransom for the release of hijacked ships, He had started to European calls for the internationalization of the Red Sea, and it is here for us, and stops with the task of what is happening in the Horn of Africa, which is shared by five Muslim countries.

It was remarkable that the whole world is not shrugged off hundreds of Somali civilians were killed in raids by U.S. forces under the guise of the war on terrorism but did not pay heed to the announcement by the United Nations in August 29, 2008 on the risk of three million Somalis in danger of starvation.

This attention to the Western pirates have not heard when it was attacked Ethiopia and Somalia, which criminalized the occupation of international law The killing of the occupation and destruction of the facilities is not the Western media and European countries Lives and property and the country’s Muslim interest in the request as a sum of money the pirates ransom.

Then why let these pirates years under the nose of all military forces were
raised and why the West is now calling for the internationalization of the votes and most of the Red Sea The country, which overlooks the Arab and Muslim country, an important question we must answer to the search for him.

The answer for us to go back a little, in the sixth of February 2007 the Minister of Defense, “Robert Gates” to the Commission on armaments in the U.S. Senate that the President “Bush” adopted the decision to establish a new U.S. military command for the African continent, rather than the status quo, which divides the continent into three military leaders, and this is one military command called the (Africom), a scheme of works to unite the American military force and control over military responsibility for Africa under a single command, the Army is known as the (Africom), to coordinate military and security interests of the United States in all parts of the continent.

In a statement released by the White House to Bush stated “The new command will strengthen security cooperation with Africa, there are new opportunities to support the capacity of our partners in Africa is scheduled to begin (AFRICOM) work in September 2008. Is clear from this scheme to U.S. military control in the military to Africa.

According to writer and journalist William Larkin in his book “The roll-coded”, the command was formed in sub-10 / 2002, Within the U.S. Central Command from the Horn of Africa to Central Asia USCENTCOM , For the purpose of coordinating the operations of the so-called “Combating Terrorism” in Yemen, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, on any Service South of the Red Sea and is called the Sub-intervention force in the Horn of Africa, the Joint Combined Joint Task Force in the Horn of Africa, CJTF-HOA.

The above is unclear how much attention the American administration in the Horn of Africa and the U.S. administration had made its military presence under the guise of the so-called fight against terrorism, the truth Information to observers is that the military presence is to work for a large military base in the region to implement the scheme of Africom For the control and control over the sensitive region which is predominantly Muslim, the Arabs and control the Bab in the Red Sea, where the U.S. base in Djibouti, a small, yes, the American military base in Djibouti, called the Imonyih or Imonner does not exceed the number of members of 2000 soldiers It controls the Horn of Africa and also to ensure that the region important Most of which is the source of oil to America and Europe and also known ambitions In the newly discovered oil in Somalia, Sudan and uranium.

We can not fail to point out that the Zionists Jews are also a military base in
Eritrea in an area called “Dahlac.”

Witness what is happening in the Horn of Africa region of the disorder and
chaos, security remains the Ethiopian aggression against Somalia and the
occupation of its territory Terrorism and the launch of a scarecrow In Somalia and the pricing of the fire The war in southern Sudan, after they subsided and fuel sedition and rebellion in Darfur, leaving the so-called Somali pirates Kidnap Ships in the Red Sea all the Americans were planning the pirates under the motto (creative chaos) To justify their presence in form and thus consolidate the colonial military presence in the Horn of Africa.

However, it is remarkable that Western world The Western media is the Somali pirates who are individual incidents of abduction of a sum of money for them and do not care about pirates Americans Who Kidnap Outana and steal Not indifferent to the rights of their peoples to freedom, justice and the independence they Who Sdawa Ears to talk about humanitarian and human rights, justice and freedom Then, when the United States all put under the feet do not care about the human right recognized in the justice, freedom and claims of human rights will find no votes Those of Westerners exposing injustice and tyranny of the American silent voice of God always and never all.

Finally .. Scheme of the pirates in the Horn of African Americans Clear and transparent as they have been kidnapped Afghanistan and Iraq today, Somalia and the Bab in the Red Sea to Control the oil and the oil routes in the world In order to complete their criminal imperial oppressor of the world at the expense of the blood of Muslims and their rights, but that the Lord truly understand the lookout for fall financially and militarily, and thank God that in his book: (and) all the force of God.

On July 28, 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, signaling the beginning of our first world war

On July 28, 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, signaling the beginning of our first world war. The armistice was not signed until late in the year of 1918. Many casalties were suffered in World War I by soldiers and civilians alike. This is dedicated to their memory.

On 10 November, 1918, an elderly priest from Pasewalk, Germany, walked into the nearby military hospital to deliver grave news to its wounded occupants - the war was lost and Imperial Germany was no more.

The old man wept as he outlined the details to his stunned audience. There was to be an armistice on the next day, Germany was now a republic, and the Kaiser, the nation’s leader, was to abdicate. A Lance-Corporal, recovering from the effects of poison gas, reeled away from the crowd. In his memoirs he wrote: “I staggered and stumbled back to my ward and buried my aching head between the blankets and pillow.”

Adolf Hitler, a veteran of the War’s worst firestorms, began to cry. It was inexplicable; Germany, the nation of Aryans, the nation destined to dominate the 20th Century had lost. He desperately sought a reason for defeat. Imbued with a burning hatred of Jews, Bolsheviks and even Democrats, the solution was simple - the country had been stabbed in the back by Fifth Columnists, or in Hitler’s words: “a gang of despicable and depraved criminals!”

The First World War created the Dictator that the world would bitterly come to know. The brutal propaganda, the carpet bombing, the terrifying military technology, the demand to see a ‘World in Flames’ - all of Hitler’s major Second World War policies stemmed his experiences of the Great War.
